MY FAREWELL MESSAGE
Looking back on the past couple of years, I am glad to have experienced the wonderful atmosphere of this university. Though, ours is only an infant university compared to other university, I am proud to say that we have come far and i am also confident that this university would one day soon progress to be one of the best in this country, where else can you find such an abundant study course or department in a single university as we would have after the true completion of this university? Also seeing the progress that the varsity has gone through this past two years, i know that we would soon have a university worth its name.
Surely there would be small complaints regarding the administration, the faculty and also of the students. I want us all to remember that we as students play a major role in shaping the position that is to become what is Mizoram University, “Greater deeds..” does remain and is the duty of each batch of students to think new ideas and ways to the betterment of the university, sense of ownership and also of belong would play a vital role to set the mind for the task.
Nobody is perfect and we know that we, as seniors, have our failures, this might be a good "time" to "Forgive and Forget" My humble request to the new senior students is to learn from our mistakes and to do better in the next session.
The fast changing world of today is marked by more knowledge, skills and strategies. University is the place where one received more knowledge, ideas and skills in his/her day to day living and also where intellectual knowledge is circulated amidst different departments. I would therefore say that the present students are very lucky to involve practically within the university. I am sure during your stay here; you will get more knowledge, new ideas and skills in dealing with different kinds of problems faced by our state as well as our country.
Students may come, students may go, Mizoram University will remain as a centre for acquiring knowledge, skills and new ideas. I wish and hope, our University and Its Students union will be stronger day by day. I hope you all have a good time.
(I’d delivered this speech on behalf of Senior/ outgoing students. MZUSU (at that time PGSU) organized parting social at Mc Donald Hill, on 1st July 2005)
This remind me of my youthful friends at the university. Especially when I was dance with her after the programme, JAM Session… Someday she will think again, Dance forever, friends forever
